Jake RoederProduct Sales Specialistjake.roder@vacon.com 414-429-8320 Vacon's Drive Ahead Road Show Tour traveled the last 2 years over 30,000 miles throughout the United States and Canada, and Jake Roeder was there providing drives basics and product training to over 6,000 guests that visited the tour. Graduating from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Jake lived and studied in Germany for 1 year with an MSOE Exchange Program, in return earning a Diplom-Ingeneur in Elektrotechnik. From there, Jake worked in Engineering Sales (Semiconductors) for 3 years before coming on board as Vacon's Product Sales Specialist. In addition to delivering sales and solution support, Jake is currently developing Vacon training materials and web based supplemental training which includes videos teaching general drives concepts and hands-on programs for several Vacon AC Drives products and applications. He has also had the pleasure of participating in many training events as not only a student but an instructor.
Allen RutherfordTechnical Services Manager - Canadaallen.rutherford@vacon.com 905-961-4402 It is safe to say that Allen Rutherford knows a thing or two about AC Drives and he is very eager to share his passion for drives with you! Graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1986 with Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Allen then obtained his Professional Engineer's license for the province of Ontario in 1989. From there he worked as an Engineer and sold Mitsubishi Control and Drives systems for 17 years, working then 5 years for Bosch Rexroth servo systems and the automotive industry as engineering consultant for 5 years before coming aboard as Vacon Canada's Technical Service Manger in 2011. His training background is vast and impressive and includes many facets of AC Drives. Allen has extensive experience with engineering and commissioning of drives in many industries, creating training programs with hands on labs for Mitsubishi, Bosch Rexroth, and now Vacon and presenting the latest drive safety technology to the IAPA. In addition, Allen has trained and given symposiums on the latest drive and safety technologies to electricians, technicians, engineers and government inspectors. Traveling internationally many times, Allen has participated in many events and presented training around the globe.
Sean GaffneyTechnical Account Managersean.gaffney@vacon.com 414-429-6160 A professional with over 22 years of AC Drives experience, Sean Gaffney will dazzle you with his wit and wisdom. Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madison, WI in 1986 and has gathered much insight and knowledge on drives product and applications since. He has obtained much experience in a wide range of AC and DC Drives engineering and product marketing roles which he held while he was part of the Rockwell Automation Company. In 2009 he became part of the Vacon family as Technical Account Manager focusing on our key accounts and other technical support. Working in both standard drives and drive systems groups, Sean is providing solutions in varying industries such as print, paper, metals, converting and general industry. In addition, Sean has participated in many training events and has had the pleasure of sharing his technical expertise to many students!
Tony CampbellSr. Applications Engineer & Field Service Managertony.campbell@vacon.com 717-261-5000 x8339 A veteran in the electrical business, with over 33+ years of industry experience Tony Campbell can teach you what you need to know about AC Drives. Tony has worked in the industrial electrical and electronic fields through a variety of positions including field service management, AC/DC product automation and system integration, product repair and AC/DC System and product training. With the purchase of TB Wood’s in 2008, Vacon had the pleasure of attaining Tony as Service Manager where he managed a team of 15 associates responsible for electronic repair and field service work for various AC/DC electrical and electronic components used in custom designed industrial systems. Currently, Tony is our Sr. Applications Engineer and Field Service Manager responsible for Vacon’s field service department which supplies product support for engineering and applications as well provides commissioning, start-up, training and field engineering to customers around the world. Additionally, Tony serves on our North American Safety Committee and has attained many certifications in various specialized electrical training classes. |
